Herve Poncharal – Team Manager :

“I’m delighted to say that we have reached an agreement to continue our relationship with Sakura exhaust systems for the next two years. They have been a wonderful partner so far and have done a fantastic job in supporting us in such an incredible way in MotoGP as well as in the Moto2 class. I have to say that the collaboration has been exceptional from day one onwards. Last winter we went to Indonesia to support their brand and had an amazing time there, then earlier this week both riders had the pleasure to visit the Sakura headquarters and feel the company’s passion directly, which was a great experience. Therefore, we are really looking forward to the next two years. In the Moto2 class the exhaust system is one of the few things that we can work on in terms of performance and it is clearly a big bonus to have such a strong partner as Sakura with the exceptional knowledge and experience they have. Regarding the MotoGP class we also have fantastic support. Sakura has been following Yamaha for a long time and they have sent several different exhaust systems to the Yamaha Motor Corporation and us this season. This is in order to increase our performance, so again, I can’t do anything other than repeat how glad I am to continue our partnership for 2016 and 2017.”
