With only a fortnight to go until competitors convene in Tuscany for the opening event of the Michelin 24H SERIES European Series, the Michelin 12H MUGELLO, excitement is building as the list of confirmed teams is revealed by organisers Creventic.

Ahead of the landmark race in Italy across the weekend 22/23 March, the first of the European 24H SERIES events with Michelin as the official tyre partner and with Omologato as the newly announced official timing partner, 18 entries have thus far been confirmed in the headline GT3 category.

With a fantastic range of marques and hugely competitive teams, the GT3 battle looks set to be spectacular with Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche all represented and ready to challenge for outright glory.

Overall success has gone the way of the German marques in recent years, with Porsche taking victory last season and Audi and BMW winning the 12H MUGELLO during the preceding two instalments of the race.

Ferraris make up the lion’s share of GT3 entries with homegrown squad Pellin Racing fielding a Ferrari 296 GT3, as will Switzerland’s CCC Kessel Racing, Era Motorsport from the USA and the Czech Republic’s Scuderia Praha – winners of the 12H MUGELLO back in 2017. Pellin Racing is also entering a Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO as well.

The 2025 Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy GT3-AM Champion team, Swiss squad HOFOR Racing, is confirmed as running a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO as will Italian outfit MP Racing, America’s Heart of Racing by SPS and Viper Niza Racing from Malaysia.

Antigua and Barbuda team HAAS RT is back with its Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, with additional Audi R8 entries coming from Britain’s Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport and Lithuanian squad Juta Racing.

Porsche will be represented in GT3 by Germany’s Proton Huber Competition, with its Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), the Italian entered MANAMAURI ENERGY BY EBIMOTORS squad will also challenge with its Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) as will Belgian team Red Ant Racing.

Three further entries in the headline category come from Spain’s E2P Racing with its Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO, the UK’s WeBuyAnyPhone.com Racing by Simpson Motorsport field a BMW M4 GT3 and Slovakia’s ARC Bratislava will take to the grid with its Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO.

In the 992 class for Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) cars, entries are in double figures too with 10 such Porsches set to contest the Michelin 12H MUGELLO. Vice-Champions of the 992 class from January’s Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy, Dutch team Red Camel-Jordans.nl, will be joined by fellow Netherlands entered squad Ajith Kumar Racing by BKR – owned, of course, by the Tamil actor.

Twin entries have been received from French squad SebLajoux Racing and the cosmopolitan feel continues with further registrations from Belgium’s Muhlner Motorsport, Spain’s Escuderia Faraon, Lithuania’s Porsche Baltic, Germany’s RPM Racing and Danish squad Holmgaard Motorsport.

Following a successful Michelin 24H SERIES debut in the Middle East Trophy, winning the GTX class title, 111 Racing now tackles the European season with its IRC GT car. Fierce competition comes in Mugello from a pair of Vortex 2.0 racers fielded by the factory Vortex V8 squad from France.

Six entries are confirmed in the GT4 class, where British teams Venture Engineering and CWS Engineering will enter a Mercedes-AMG GT4 and Ginetta G56 GT4 respectively, while Italy’s PB Racing will compete on home ground with its Lotus Emira GT4.

Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport will field a pair of BMW M4 GT4 EVO (G82) cars and there will also be two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsports in the Michelin 12H MUGELLO, one from Germany’s SRS Team Sorg Rennsport and the other from compatriot team CCS Racing. Additionally, there is a BMW M3 E46 in the TCE-TCX class from British team J-Mec Engineering.

Following on from two Creventic Track Days at Mugello on Wednesday, 19 March, and Thursday, 20 March, free practice and qualifying for the season curtain-raiser will take place on Friday, 21 March, with the first part of the Michelin 12H MUGELLO underway at 11.30 local time on Saturday, 22 March. The concluding portion of the race will start at 09.30 local time on Sunday, 23 March.
