Giorgio Maggi makes EuroNASCAR comeback with Speedhouse

Giorgio Maggi is back in the NASCAR Euro Series! After a one-year break, the Swiss driver decided to join Lucas Lasserre’s Speedhouse to compete in the PRO championship. With a total of three OPEN race victories, the 27-year-old wants to become a title contender in EuroNASCASR’s top division and pick up where he left off after the 2023 season. Lasserre and Maggi, who have competed against each other on the track in the past, will be working together for the first time as both look to compete for race wins and titles in NASCAR in Europe.

Maggi joined the series in 2019, finishing runner-up in the OPEN championship in his rookie year. The Swiss showed a promising pace and developed into one of the fastest drivers on the EuroNASCAR grid in PRO and OPEN. After a stint in GT racing, Maggi decided to return to NASCAR, a discipline he immediately fell in love with. With all of Speedhouse’s experience, the driver and the team are poised to make an impact and become a major factor in the 2025 title fight.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to the NASCAR Euro Series with Speedhouse under the leadership of Lucas Lasserre,” he said. “Last season in Italian GT with Ferrari was an amazing experience, but I’m excited to be back in this fantastic series. The atmosphere in the NASCAR Euro Series is second to none. I’m happy to be racing with an experienced team like Speedhouse and I believe we have the potential to be strong championship contenders. I immediately felt a great connection with their management and am eager to make my debut in Valencia. I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel!”

Lasserre added, “We are very excited to welcome Giorgio to Speedhouse for the 2025 EuroNASCAR PRO season. Giorgio is a very strong driver and a great guy. I know him well as we have had some great battles in the past and I am very familiar with his approach to racing. This is something I really appreciate. He is returning to the series after competing in the Italian GT Championship and he felt immediately comfortable in the car during our test day. I am confident that he will be a strong contender for the 2025 championship. This is a joint project and I would also like to thank Cornelia and Romeo Maggi and welcome them to Speedhouse. Giorgio, welcome to the blue!”

The 2025 season will kick off April 12-13 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. Maggi will drive the #33 Ford Mustang and will do his best to become one of the top drivers of the year. With all of his experience and Speedhouse on his side, he could have a say in the 2025 title fight. Qualifying and all races will be broadcast live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel and on many TV networks around the world.
